2017 International Games in Panama

(January 06 - 13, 2017) - The Panama event will be taking place from January 6th to January 13th, 2017. This will be taking place at the Riu Playa Blanca, a 5 star all-inclusive resort in Panama. It is located just 20 minutes from the airport. The competition will have competitors ranging from the ages of 4-50 years of age and all ranks will be present. Divisions include forms, weapons, sparring, open musical forms and weapons, synchronized as well as chanbara. The International Games will be a high energy event with many talented martial artists competing.

Medal Count & Results

On Friday January 6th, 2017, the Canadian National Martial Arts Team travelled to Panama to compete in the 8th annual International Games hosted by the International Congress of Martial Arts. The competition required the team to compete Saturday evening. The Team did a fantastic job, competing in divisions such as weapons, chanbara, and sparring. Following competition days included divisions such as traditional forms, traditional weapons, sparring, and extreme martial arts. Team Canada had competitors ranging from the ages of 5 to 50, each competitor held ranks between white to black belt.
